The maximum display value for \(\rho \) has been set to \(5\cdot 10^{14}\) m\(^{-2}\) (the scale of the colorbar is in \(\upmu \mathrm {m}^{-2}\)) in order to more clearly demonstrate how it is distributed over the grains. The true maximum value is \(1.9\cdot 10^{15}\) m\(^{-2}\). There is only one possible slip system in the simulations
