This figure shows that a sensor rate of \(\rho ^{\text {basis}}= 70~\%\) is sufficient to derive a gappy POD basis that avoids large errors in the first few adaptivity steps after a change in the latent parameter, cf. Fig. 8 for \(\rho ^{\text {basis}}= 30~\%\). The figure also confirms that increasing the dimension of the gappy POD basis from \(r= 30\) (a, c, e) to \(r= 40\) (b, d, f) has an insignificant effect on the adaptation
