In the publication of this article [1], there was an error in the “Simple alternatives for clustering” section which was published with an incorrect value. The error: ‘We will present several new clustering techniques in the following. For a general approach, let \(M: \mathcal {X} \rightarrow \mathbb {R}{\ge 0}\) be an arbitrary function on \(\mathbb {X}\) representing a measure like the deformation D or relative scatter \(S^\text {rel}\).’ Should instead read: ‘We will present several new clustering techniques in the following. For a general approach, let \(M: \mathcal {X} \rightarrow \mathbb {R}_{\ge 0}\) be an arbitrary function on \(\mathbb {X}\) representing a measure like the deformation D or relative scatter \(S^\text {rel}\).’ This has now been included in this erratum.
